THE VIDDUI

My Lord, and Lord of my ancestors
Let my prayer come before You
Do not ignore my plea.
Forgive me for all the wrong I have done in my lifetime
My wicked deeds and sins embarrass me
Please accept my pain and suffering as atonement
forgive my wrong doings, for against You alone I have sinned

May it be Your will, Lord of my ancestors that I sin no more
With your great compassion cleanse me of my sins, but not through
suffering and disease
Send a perfect healing to me and to all those who are stricken
My Lord, Lord of my ancestors, I acknowledge that my life and recovery
depend upon you
May it be Your will to heal me
Yet if you decreed that I shall die of this affliction, may my death atone for
all the wrong doings which I have committed before You
Shelter me in the shadow of Your wings; grant me a share in the world to come

Calm me oh Lord

Calm me, O Lord, as you stilled the storm.
Still me, O Lord, keep me from harm.
Let all the tumult within me cease.
Enfold me, Lord in your peace.

I dreamt I saw my name in lights and spoke your word for all to hear
I dreamt my name was recognized by people far and near
But I have come to understand as David long ago that humble service in your house
is still the greatest dream a heart can hold

Oh let me be your servant,
a keeper at your door
My heart is only longing to see for evermore the glory of your presence
The dwelling of the Lord
Oh let me be your servant
a keeper at your door

Lord, I have nothing
Help me to give even what I do not have
Lord, I feel nothing
Help me not be jealous, that you may use me to touch others hearts
Lord, I am weary,
Help me to remember that you have been weary too
Lord, I need refreshing
Help me to refresh others and to forget about my own needs
Lord, I can't see the way ahead,
help me not to get in the way of those who can
Lord, I am disappointed,
Help me to not bring disappointment to others.
Lord, I have no one to help me,
Help me trust in you.
Lord, I can't see you, yet you see me,
Help me to remember that.
Lord, I am not worthy to receive you,
but only say the word and I shall be healed.

Imagine a Woman

Imagine A Woman
Imagine a woman who believes it is right and good she is a woman. A woman who honors
her experience and tells her stories. Who refuses to carry the sins of others within her body
and life. Imagine a woman who says she is good.
A woman who trusts and respects herself.
Who listens to her needs and desires, and meets them with tenderness and grace.
Imagine a woman who has acknowledged the past influence on the present.
A woman who has walked through her past.
Who has healed in the present.
Imagine a woman who has authored her own life.
A woman who exerts, intitiates, and moves on her own behalf.
Who refuses to surrender except to her truest self and her wisest voice.
Imagine a woman who names her own gods.
A woman who imagines the divine in her own image and likeness.
Who designs her own spirituality and allows it to inform her daily life.
Imagine a woman who is in love with her own body.
A woman who believes her body is enough just as it is.
Who celebrates her body and it rhythm and cycles as an esquisite resource.
Imagine a woman who honors the face of the Goddess in her changing face.
A woman who celebrates the accumulated wisdom.
Who refused to use her precious life energy disguising the changes in her body and life.
Imagine a woman who values the woman in her life.
A woman who sits in a circle of woman.
Who is reminded of the truth in herself when she forgets.
Imagine yourself as this woman.
